Could be a disheartening news for her fans for the upcoming year but AV actress Akane Shiki announced her retirement over the weekend on Twitter. The 26 year old actress took to the platform to express her dismay with a picture accompanying the post at the early hours of the day.

"To everyone who supports me
I, Akane Shiki, will stop working on December 31, 2021. Some people may be surprised by the sudden report, but I am grateful for the support and warm messages I received during the one and a half years of activities. I was happy! Thank you. Also, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the production company, the manufacturer, and me who did not understand anything for their kind guidance. Thank you very much. It's a short greeting, but when I meet you someday, I would like to ask for your continued support and warm support.
Thank you!" wrote the AV actress
Fans who've been following the actress for a long time took the news with a pinch of salt.
"I'm so shocked that I can't find the words I've been thinking that, Akane has been a good actress lately. At first , she is very good at spitting in Irama! and it's so cute! It started from that place, but it seems that even her vanilla works are cute and there is also this one. Thank you for the good works so far", commented one fan
"Thank you for your hard work! Before, after seeing you at a bar, I was addicted to your cuteness, and for a while I was looking for and watching only Ayaka-chan's appearances! Thank you!" commented another
The announcement comes after the actress attended a fan meet event that was hosted by HMP Japan. Many popular AV faces graced the event like Rika Aimi, Misuzu Mifune along with Akane.
The intentions behind her decision are still unkown but we at ZENRA believe that this is more of a career break than a proper retirement, akin to her fans.
